Mike joined Malton Coachworks as Bodyshop Manager in April 2022. He started his career as a mechanical engineer, having completed his apprenticeship in coachbuilding at Pocklington Coachworks. There, he would prepare and build Formula 1 hospitality units. Next, Mike took his engineering skills into railway coachbuilding and spent much of the next 20 years in Europe. Later in his career, he became responsible for accepting and buying trains for one of the leading consultancies in the world.
Now at Classic & Sportscar within Malton Coachworks… It’s Mike’s job to push the business to where we need to be to keep up with growing demand while maintaining our quality and reputation.
Mike’s hobbies align perfectly with his career – as he said in a recent interview for our website; “Anything with two wheels, basically”. His bikes are not stowed away, Mike enjoys using them – from racing his Honda C90 on Teeside Karting track to rallying his 1200 Triumph… These bikes are USED.
