Jon has been immersed in the classic car world for over 50 years. Before joining Malton Coachworks, he ran his own classic car business, building a lot of knowledge and experience in the restoration, maintenance, and preservation of historic vehicles. After relocating from the East Coast, continuing his career in the classic car industry was a priority, making Malton Coachworks the perfect fit.
Jon’s passion for classic cars began at a very young age. His father owned the famous 1958 Peerless GT that competed at Le Mans, winning its class, and witnessing the car’s success sparked a lifelong fascination with classic motoring. That enthusiasm has never faded, and today Jon owns his dream car a 1962 Warwick GT350 fitted with a 3.5l Buick V8. He has owned the car since he was just 14 years old and looks forward to completing its restoration so he can finally tour Europe in it.
His collection also includes a BMW Z3,a 1960 TR31. a 1960s Morris Minor Land Rover Discovery 3 which is regularly used to tow his latest projects.
Away from the workshop, Jon’s passion for restoration continues as he spends much of his spare time working on his own classic cars. He also enjoys making electronic gadgets and is a keen astrophotographer capturing the beauty of the night sky whenever the opportunity arises.
